PROPOSED ENROLMENT SCHEME FOR APPLEBY SCHOOL

Appleby School continues to experience positive roll growth, and with that comes the need to carefully manage our student numbers within our existing classroom capacity.

The Ministry of Education has advised that it intends to introduce an enrolment scheme for the school. This would include a home zone and a limited number of out‑of‑zone places, which may vary by year level and from year to year.

We want to reassure families that all students currently enrolled will keep their place, regardless of where they live.

The Ministry expects to begin public consultation at the start of Term 2, with consultation running for at least four weeks. Subject to this process, the scheme is expected to be in place by late Term 2 or early Term 3.
