As outlined last week, we are planning a mental health hui for the last week of term and would love to know what aspects of Taha Hinengaro you as parents would like to know more about. When we have your feedback we will ask some experts to come and share their knowledge good health strategies with us at a series of workshops. We are not sure what this day will look like yet or the timings but once we know what you would be interested in we can start planning what parts of the day will be for us the students, for you the parents and also for all of us together. Some of the aspects the students have identified as increasing the positivity of our thoughts, feelings and emotions include: sleep, nutrition, physical activity, mindfulness, positivity, caring for each other. Please email me this week with any topics you as parents would like to hear more about. If you have some expertise in a field that impacts positively on mental health and you would be willing to contribute to the hui please contact me by email or at school at some stage this week.
